Assessment and analysis by exhibition product

• Status of Exhibition by Field
  ① Comparing with the last year, water quality field was decreased by 1.2%, and measuring/analisys field was decreased by 1.5%. However, people are still showing high interest at them.
  ② Comparing with the last year, atmosphere field was increased by 5.4%, and waster disposal field was incresed by 1.1%.
  ③ Especially, interest in environment friendly product field has increresed so far. So, it is essential to enlarge the exhibits of it.

• Fatures of Participation Countries
  ① Total 24 Countries participated.
  ② Most of Industrialized Countries ranked at high participation ratio in preferential sequence of Germany, Japan, USA and France. And Chinese companies showed interest so much that they are expected to share big ratio in the future.

• Comparison of Volume
  In spite of depression of overall industries, contract amounts is increased in comparison with the last year. It shows that the interest and expectation of domestic and overseas companies for exhibition are increasing more and more.

Analysis of Exhibitors

• Status of Number of Business Bargaining and Contract
  ① To be prospected of 390 Millions US $ of business consultant and 125 Millions US $ of contract by inviting relevant buyers from overseas such as Japan, China, East South Asia, through one to one buyer meeting at the export bargaining meeting and through introducing the domestic new technology and marketing.
  ② It was concluded that this Exhibition was fruitful for advertisement of new products and sales of exhibitors.
• Status of Environmental Technology Possession
  ① The tendency to rely on the technology of advanced countries reached to 19%. It is required to invest in self developed technologies.
  ② At present, many companies are making efforts to develop technologies by linking with government and relevant institutions. However, governmental investment assistance and constant technology investment of companies should be first considered.

• Trend of domestic and overseas technology and acquisition of information
  Acquisition of most information from internet(38.3%), seminar and Exhibition (33.4%). It shows that the interest in those tools will be continuously increasing afterwards.
• Intention to participate in overseas exhibition
  77.2% of domestic exhibitors intend to participate in overseas exhibition. Especially, lots of interest in exhibitions of China, Europe and Japan in preferential sequence of China (35%), Europe(20%), USA(14%), Japan(13), and South East Asia(11%). It is necessary to increase participation in overseas exhibitions by assistance with national funds of the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, and Small and Medium Business Administration.
• Exhibitors who have the intension to participate in ENVEX 2009.
  56.2% of exhibitors in ENVEX 2008 participation companies desire to participate in ENVEX 2009 again and 41% of participants are considering. Most participants showed their interests and participation intention on ENVEX 2009.
• Appointment of ENVEX as the most successful Exhibition in Korea
  Almost 82% of the participation companies appointed ENVEX as the most successful Exhibition among other exhibitions they have participated. They look forward to advertisement of products in exhibition.
• Consideration for exhibitors and visitors
  Good response from participants for free providing of internet, fax, computer, copier and telephone for their conveniences through business support center in the exhibition hall. Good response from participants by classifying items of water quality, atmosphere and waste according t colors To help business meetings, interpretation were supported. Good response from exhibitors and visitors for cafeteria to take rest.
• Consideration for exhibitors and visitors
  Lots of support from public broadcasting, radio, daily newspapers, magazines, internet and various communication instruments for advertisement of exhibition products and development of sales route.

Analysis Status of Visitors

  Comparing with 2007, visitors were increased(from 48,359 to 48,533) * Overseas visitors were increased(from 558 to 571)
• Classification of Company
  The persons who engage in manufacturing, trade, consulting and public officials were exceeding 70%. It shows that the character is expertise exhibition rather than popularity exhibition.
• Classification by Job Assignment
  The most visitors were CEOs and directors(24.6%), department managers(28.8%) and clericals(24.8%). It shows that purchasing decision makers as well as substantial staff in charge of technology engagement, were interested in this exhibition.
• Classification of Visiting Purpose
  21.9% of visitors visited the exhibition for the direct purchasing purpose only, resulted in many execution of contracts. And the visitors who were interested in collection of materials and survey of commodities reached to 63%. Considering that they were potential customers, total 81 % of visitors were regarded as substantial purchasers.
• Classification of Interesting Field
  Similar to the last year, visitors were interested in water quality, waste, atmosphere, and analyzer in preferential sequence. And domestic/overseas buyers interest in environment friendly energy and products is getting higher and higher.
• Statistics by Area
  The visitors from Seoul and metropolitan area reached to 77%. It requires lasting advertisement to residents in metropolitan area. The visitors from regions other than metropolitan area reached to approximately 19%.
• Statistics by country
  ① Most of visitors came from Asia, reached to 71.8% approximately. North America, MiddleEast and Europe followed Asia in sequential order.
  ② Comparing with the last year, number of countries were increased from 35 to 47. Many countries from Asia, North America, Europe, South America, and Africa were interested in this Exhibition.
  ③ Number of overseas visitors has been increasing.(in 2006 - 507, in 2007 - 558, and in 2008 - 571)
